In 2017 when Studio 419 first decided to hold an Open House, we had no idea what to expect. Questions abounded. Would anyone show up? If they did show up, would they appreciate the sculpture? Should it be a one or two day event? Should we have live music? Would spring, summer. or autumn be the best time? Etc.
Well, we decided to take a chance and do it.
Much to our delight, it was more successful than we could have imagined. We had a good sized turnout each day. People really liked my work and asked if there would be another Open House next year. And so began the Annual Studio 419 Open House. Attendance and popularity have grown each year.
Personally, Open House day is my favorite day of the year. It is a time to renew old acquaintances, meet with like minded artists and collectors, and meet new friends.
After much thought, we have decided not to have an Open House this year. We've talked to several repeat visitors of the studio who have asked about it, and decided to instead hold a virtual Open House. So please enjoy these photos of my new work, along with some photos of Past Open Houses and the Studio 419 gardens.
We hope you enjoyed your virtual visit.
Thank you.
